The Office has been one of my life staples for the past six-ish years. I came in on the start of the fourth season while simultaneously watching seasons one through three on TBS. Those four hour blocks were incredible. Pretty sure I caught up halfway through the newest season at the time, hahah.
I love the show. Downright love it, one of my all-time favorite comedies. It’s a shame Steve Carell never got an Emmy for Michael Scott. He perfected that character. But I don’t care. It was an epic, amazing run of the quirky, inappropriate, yet hilarious boss. I cried my damn EYES out watching the last episode with Michael in it. Unfortunately we’ve reached the point of sitcom lifespan called, “Desperation”. It’s when things slowly fall apart, but the cast, writers, directors, producers all reach for more and try to keep it going. Sadly, it’s not. It’s faltering. It doesn’t have the same magic it used to, which really upsets me sometimes.
